Live at the Factory in Deep Ellum, Dallas, the Driver Era put on their 15th show of their 2022 Summer world tour.
The show began with indie pop trio, Almost Monday. They had a fun, upbeat energy and put on a great show. They performed some of their hit songs like “sun keeps on shining”. They had a fun happy sound with captivating dance moves. The crowd definitely loved the set they put on.
Both openers put on amazing shows but the crowd could not wait any longer for the Driver Era to finally enter the stage. Everyone screamed as Ross and Rocky Lynch made their way out. They began the show with “Keep Moving Forward”. The brother duo both had an amazing stage presence. It was fun watching Ross dance throughout every song not missing a single beat. After a few songs they finally played their newest song, “Malibu”, from their album Summer Mixtape, that will be released September 16th. I could tell "Malibu" was definitely a crowd favorite from the amount of people singing along.
The entire setlist was amazing with songs from their 2019 album, X, like “Preacher Man” and “Afterglow” to their 2021's Girlfriend with songs like “A Kiss” and “Heart of Mine”. At one point during the show a fan threw a pink cowboy hat onto the stage which Ross said happened at every show so to follow the tradition he performed the next couple of songs wearing it. The crowd absolutely loved it. Ross and Rocky did a great job interacting with the crowd throughout the show. The Driver Era is definitely at the top of my list of favorite shows. I cannot wait for the release of their latest album Summer Mixtape on September 16th.
