SoMo / MoonLander @ the Studio at the Factory, Dallas, TX

SoMo’s Tour of Dreams was truly an unforgettable show! The night began with rap/pop artist known as MoonLander. He kicked off the night preforming some of his upbeat and catchy songs like “Sarcastic” and “Outta Your League”. Not only did he have a great voice that the audience loved but he was super energetic and charismatic. He even autographed his boots he was wearing during the set to give out to the audience. During his performance he introduced his professional flute player, 'Freddie the Flutist', who came out on stage dressed in his tuxedo and played for the crowd.

After MoonLander finished his set, the lights dimmed and the crowd waited for SoMo’s grand entrance. He came out wearing a green velour shirt and sang some of his upbeat songs like “Fire” from his 2014 self-titled, debut album. The energy was high during the first couple songs before he asked the crowd if they were ready for his slower and more intimate songs. SoMo did a quick outfit change into his famous Carhartt overalls which he wore in the album cover of his latest album, The Duality of Man. He preformed songs like “The Stars in the Sky” and “Daughters” from the album.

SoMo did his final outfit change of the night changing into a see-through shirt to preform some of his more sensual songs. He preformed a lot of his older songs and some of his new music. You could tell this was the crowds favorite part of the show with the intense screaming. At one point a girl yelled for him to take his shirt off and SoMo replied, “ladies it’s already basically see through” and the crowd laughed. After preforming all of his songs except for his most popular song “Ride” he waved goodbye and exited the stage. The crowd screamed for an encore and he came out and sang “Ride” and everyone sang along at the top of their lungs. Everyone had been waiting for that moment and I think that was the perfect ending to the show.
