The Hottest Band in the World...KISS! That's how it begins. From from the first firework to the ending confetti shower, a KISS show is all about theatrics and stage presence. While the two remaining founding members of KISS, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, are in their mid to late sixties, their performance onstage would suggest otherwise. Stanley still flies over the crowd to perform near the cheap seats, this tour he sings "Psycho Circus" and the beginning of "Black Diamond", whereas Simmons also flies to his demonly abode overseeing the Pavilion where he performs "God of Thunder". Yes, a KISS show can also be over the top cheesy and campy at times, but it can still raise the hair on the back of your neck and give you goosebumps. Who doesn't remember belting out to "Shout It Out Loud" or "Rock and Roll All Nite" for the first time at a KISS show? As Paul makes a point of emphasis, asking the crowd if this was their first KISS show. An amazing amount of fans, including their children, had raised their hands. Stanley made sure to drive the point home, "that no one forgets their first KISS show". While this was not my first KISS show, and probably not my last, it was still a lot of fun and will always be a rockin' good time.
