NMF 2009: T-Minus 15 Days

Each day that passes is a day closer to this year's Norman Music Festival. The free music festival will take on Main Street in Norman, OK (as pictured above) and will showcase more than 80 acts across a dozen stages/venues. I continue to learn more and more about the Main Stage acts as the date nears, adding to my current anticipation. Of course I am excited to see of Montreal, this year's headliner, as well as local acts Starlight Mints, Stardeath and White Dwarves, Student Film, Other Lives and Gentle Ghost. I have learned more and more about the national acts participating, i.e. Man Man, Sugar and Gold, and the Absolute. At first, I was a bit disappointed with the lineup but now I am very pleased with the lineup (excluding the loss of the Black Angels). From what I can tell, the Black Angels are migrating to the West Coast to start recording a new album. If that's the case, then I wish them nothing but the best of luck.
