Every once and again, you come across a band that is nothing but fun and positive. Not in a pretentious way but in amazingly down to earth, joyful sort of way. In a nutshell, that's what Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros brought to the South Side Ballroom. With an ensemble twelve members deep, the sound was full of life and right on point. Creative visuals cast in the background only enriched the amazing atmosphere created by lead vocalist Alex Ebert, with the help of singer Jade Castrinos. The performance was fantastic, even with its slow points, and one of my favorites of the year thus far. The group is a touring machine and I would highly recommend catching them when they come through your town.
