Turnover / Video Age / Temple of Angels @ Tulip's FTW, Fort Worth, TX

Turnover completely sold out their Fort Worth show at Tulips FTW. The venue was packed with fans with a line that started over an hour before the doors opened. The show began with two openers starting with Temple of Angels and then followed by Video Age.

Although Temple of Angels and Video Age had two completely different sounds, one more soft and the other very retro and jazzy, they complimented each other very well. Both openers did a great job getting the crowd engaged and ready for Turnover to begin their set.

Turnover started their show with six of their newest songs off their 2022 album, Myself in the Way. Watching them perform these songs felt like you were in a trance with the cool kaleidoscope lights and lead singer, Austin Getz, playing the guitar and also the synthesizer. The show had a very groovy slow feel and then sped up as they played through their setlist. After playing their new album they went back to their older albums like Peripheral Vision and Good Nature. They performed a lot of the crowd favorites like “Cutting My Fingers Off”, “Humming”, and “Pure Devotion”. I loved the show they put on and I’m so glad Turnover stopped here in Texas again. If you haven’t seen Turnover live I would definitely recommend attending one of their future shows.
