On an unusually warm October night, a line full of fans talking about how many times they had seen The Fray wrapped halfway around the House of Blues venue.  For many people in line, it seemed as if they never miss a show when the Denver-based band makes a stop in Dallas.  After watching the show, it was easy to see why their fans are so loyal.

Opening the night was the New York-based American Authors.  Frontman Zac Barnett had the Dallas crowd clapping along and even dancing during their lively set.  Before their night ended, American Authors made sure to play their most notable song, “Best Day of My Life”.

As if to keep the excitement and anticipation high, The Fray took the stage and played their first song in complete and total darkness.  Throughout the performance, the stage lighting gradually became more and more intricate, eventually leading to a lighting backdrop that looked as if the band were playing in front of hundreds of stars.  The Fray put on an incredibly passionate and honest performance, which is easily why their fans keep coming back time and time again.  Making sure no one left disappointed, The Fray played all of their notable songs before ending the night with their hit, “Over My Head (Cable Car)”. You can catch The Fray on tour through the rest of November and select dates in December.  Photos of the show are below:
