On a chilly Friday night, the Pageant welcomed El Monstero. Tonight was one of four sold out shows at the Pageant, which was full of Pink Floyd fans there to enjoy one of the most iconic winter shows. Ending 2017 off with a bang, the band performed classic tunes such as ''Shine On You Crazy Diamond'', ''Mother'', ''Run Like Hell'', "Another Brick In The Wall Part 1,2 and 3'' and many more Pink Floyd classics. From the crowd to the theatrical performance, the band dressed as police officers, one of their more recognizable characters, took the stage shining their light on the crowd. I found this exciting, feeling like you're apart of the show. Another crowd favorite has to be the pole dancer and the acrobatic performances. Watching the dancer dangling from the ceiling makes one tense but very exciting to watch. Each year, El Monstero seems to keep upgrading their production, bringing in more fans which leads to more sold out shows. I will say the production for this year's show was intense, from the pyrotechnics to the outstanding lighting. One thing I will say is that El Monstero excellently capture the original Pink Floyd sound, vocals, and overall aspect. With all the excitement with 2018 just a few days away, tonight's show will make an excellent wrap to the Pageant's 2017 concert calendar. Closing the show with a 34-song setlist, El Monstero gives the fans a four-song encore including songs ''Not Now John'', ''Pigs on the Wing 2'', ''Hey You'', and lastly ''Comfortably Numb'' before closing up one hell of a night before 2018! Looking forward to covering El Monstero in 2018!
