Bebe Rexha @ Trees, Dallas, TX

Arriving to Deep Ellum and walking up to Trees, there was a buzz in the air regarding the night's sold out show.  Bebe Rexha was kicking off her first headlining national tour in Dallas in lieu of her latest release, All Your Fault: Pt. 1.  Bebe is by no means a household name (unless you follow pop culture on Instagram or Twitter), but the direction she is going, she will be in no time.  Bebe is much more than the title singer-songwriter, she's a music producer, she's a hit songwriter, and she has provided vocals on several chart-topping singles.  And while she might not be a household name, her contributions to music certainly are; see David Guetta's "Hey Mama", G-Easy's "Me, Myself, and I", and Eminem's "The Monster".

While her accomplishments behind the scenes are quite impressive, Bebe's performance at Tress made a case as being a solid artist herself.  Stepping out of a blanket of smoke and red lighting, Bebe opened her set with "Bad Bitch", the final track from All Your Fault.  During the set, she showcased all six songs from All Your Fault, including the live debut of five of those tracks.  She was emphatic in her delivery and displayed great showmanship as a vocalist.  Halfway through her set, she stripped down to her 'Warper Tour' self and sang some heartfelt songs while sending positive messages to the young, captive audience.  She ramped up the crowd by covering the vocals of aforementioned hits "Hey Mama" and "The Monster".  She ended the 90-minute set with an electric performance of her  lead single from All Your Fault, "I Got You".  Thoroughly gracious to her fans at her first headlining show, Bebe exited to a roar of applause and appreciation.  Like most emerging artists, I cannot wait to see her progression as a live artist but truth be told, you'll never see her in such an intimate venue, so close to her fans.  Photos of the show are below:

enjoy.
