Allison Weiss / Josiah and The Bonnevilles @ the Door, Dallas, TX

Last night at The Door, music lovers were treated to an entertaining night of Americana and indie-pop music.  Taking the stage with a broken foot was a solo Josiah Leming of the band Josiah and The Bonnevilles.  Caring more about the music than his foot, Josiah at times would put all his weight on his broken foot while stomping the stage with his good foot.  Concertgoers were as entertained by his stage banter as they were his soulful songs.  At one point, Josiah introduced his upcoming song by saying, “This next song is about an ex-girlfriend but I don’t remember which one.”  If you’re a fan of Ryan Adams make sure to check out Josiah and The Bonnevilles.  Pick up a copy of his EP Cold Blood and catch him in Ft. Worth October 7th at Sundance Square.
Rounding out the evening was indie-pop rocker, Allison Weiss.  I’ve been wanting to catch Allison Weiss for a few years now and last night I was finally able to make it happen.  Backed by a full band, the energy levels started high and stayed there the entire night as Allison worked through her setlist.  A few older songs were played but the majority of last night's music came from her 2015 release, New Love.  Not all bands are able to capture the sound of their album and transfer it to their live show but Allison Weiss and her band did it effortlessly.  For more tour dates head to www.allisonw.com and make sure to pick up a copy of New Love.
