Austin John Winkler, former frontman of Hinder, made an appearance at The Firebird in St. Louis, MO.  Winkler took the stage at approximately 9PM and played an extensive setlist which spanned for just under two hours.  Austin John kept the crowd thoroughly entertained with his explosive vocals and engaging stage presence.  His accompanying band was buttoned up and looked as if they had been plucked from the nearest high school:  young, yet immensely talented.

All of the well-known classic Hinder songs were covered.  "Up All Night", "Better Than Me", "All American Nightmare", "Lips of an Angel" and the one everyone had been waiting for, "Get Stoned".  Amazing covers of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" were also thrown into the mix.  Austin still has the chops to put on an excellent rock show and certainly the talent for a successful solo career.

Throughout the show, it was evident that the lyrics Winkler had previously written during his time with Hinder were about one specific girl.  His muse.  The one whom he had shared so much with and created his inspiration.  The spark that allowed his creativity to flourish.  After attending this show, it's clearly evident that this cherished lady will always hold a special place in his heart.  Cheers to the muses that provide love, heartache, and inspiration which allow musical artists to express their emotions in their relatable lyrics.  The songs that touch us in some particular way and help us through our good and bad days.  Photos of the show are below:
