Bad Suns brought their alt-rock goodness to the Allen Event Center this past Sunday, opening up for singer Halsey. Having only formed in 2012, Bad Suns are on an impressive crash course to the top. It's easy to see why Halsey chose Bad Suns to open the night. In a room full of sunburned teens that had waited in line all day, Bad Suns got the energy level of the crowd up and kept it there for their entire set.
Bad Suns was able to connect with the crowd on a level that's hard to do at a show that size. Frontman Christo Bowman, with mic in hand, stepped off the stage and into the hands of the crowd numerous times throughout their show. All this while never missing a single note. In the middle of their set, an astounding amount of fans cheered when asked, “how many of you have heard of Bad Suns?” Bad Suns made sure to play their hit “Cardiac Arrest” but also gave the crowd some new material off of their upcoming sophomore release, Disappear Here, which will be available September 16th. You can catch Bad Suns in Texas again at Austin City Limits Music Festival this October. Photos of the show are below:
