Upcoming Show Spotlight: The Middle East

Let's be honest, everyone who will be in attendance at the Cambridge Room at the House of Blues, Dallas on Thursday will be in for a real treat.  Not only are the British four-piece Mumford & Sons headlining the show but Australia's own Middle East will be making their own noise as they arrive in Dallas amidst a growing buzz and popularity of their diverse sound.  With a band that goes seven members deep, it's no wonder how the Middle East eludes being labeled within any one genre as their music spans the musical spectrum from indie folk to ambient soundscapes.  With only having one official release, The Recordings of the Middle East, the band has been making a name for themselves from their energetic lives performances and acclaim from critics and bloggers alike; in my own opinion, "Blood" is amazingly beautiful with its great melodies that build until they unleash a fury of pop goodness that slowly subsides into a feeling of peace and calm.  So consider yourself lucky Dallas that this band on the rise is making a stop in Big D before they head to Tennessee for Bonnaroo and head back across the pond to tour the UK and Europe; tickets are sold out for the show at the House of Blues.
